Painting. The Most Bang for your Decorating Buck

Every time we turn on the television there seems to be some sort of home improvement show on.  Like many of you, I love watching the transformations.  But what if a major renovation just isn’t in the financial cards for you. What if  you’d love a new look but can’t afford to change flooring and light fixtures, or rip out cabinets?  The answer is PAINT.

The cost of building materials (including paint) has continued to rise over the past two years.  But changing the paint in a room is still the single most cost effective way to update the space.  The cost per square foot (as many items are sold) is significantly less than anything else. For example: Hardwood starts anywhere from $5-$12 per square foot and up.  Vinyl floors from $2-$5 per square foot and up, while ceramic floor tiles or backsplash tiles are anywhere from $2-$17 per square foot and up.

Paint (our very best Benjamin Moore Aura) is $0.28 per square foot of wall space. 28 CENTS! It covers like a dream and will instantly transform a room.

Our Benjamin Moore Advance cabinet paint is $0.20 per square foot.  For about $100 you can repaint your tired kitchen cabinets or bathroom vanity and give them new life.  With all the money you saved by not replacing the old ones, you might even be able to splurge on the “fancier” back splash tiles you’ve been dreaming of.

So come see us.  We have paint for every budget and for every home improvement project big or small.  We will make sure that you get the most bang for your buck.
